Art, culture and a pinch of world-class mountain biking at Bluegrass Trophy of Nations powered by SRAM

Imagine taking ideas and cultures from all over the world – thanks to more than 500 riders from different countries – mixing them with a good dose of Finale’s love for mountain biking and a pinch of local artistic creativity… and voilà: The Bluegrass Trophy of Nations powered by SRAM, Finale Ligure edition is served!
The historic collaboration between FinaleOutdoor Resort and Enduro World Series is giving life this year to a unique event, whose impact and importance will perhaps only be understood with time.
The Trophy of Nations of Finale Ligure will surely be remembered not only as the first time in the history of MTB enduro that the jerseys are going to be awarded by the UCI, but also as the celebration of enduro’s internationality, a discipline that chooses Finale, amongst all venues in the world, to play host to its positive energy.
This is the true essence of the great event that is about to kick off here in Finale Ligure: sport as a means for different cultures to meet, for ideas to be shared and for diversity to be appreciated, without boundaries.

On Friday 20 September, exactly one week before the start of the event, the race course will be announced and at that point the general public of FLOW Festival will be able to choose the best spots to go and watch the race trackside.
In the meantime, here we are with some important information about what is going to happen in the Event Village, on the waterfront and in the streets of Finalmarina.
On the occasion of Bluegrass Trophy Of Nations, cafes and bars along the beach of Finalmarina will become Homes of the Nations. They will be the select places for riders and public to meet; the places where enthusiasts will be able to come face to face with all top riders and go on a little journey around the world throughout local food, music and special events organized by the country the athletes come from, hosted in each specific venue. Just by entering a venue for a coffee, you could find yourself in South America with a drink of Caipirinha in your hand, or in an Irish pub, in front of which Maori choirs are thundering. Each Home will be easy to distinguish thanks to its own set-up, whose graphic details will be curated by local artist Sergio Olivotti. “I welcomed this challenge because I believe that outdoor sport tourism in Finale is something really wonderful and that each of us, with our own resources and skills, should contribute to its enhancement. This is why I put together a light and joyful concept, not boring nor rhetorical, but rather open and dynamic: the Cyclops, a family of characters that will accompany you during the Trophy of Nations”.

The grand parade of Nations will make for another unmissable event on Friday night, at 19:00 after the riders’ briefing in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, Finalmarina. Each one of the 23 Nations attending the event will parade with teams (a total of 46 teams) and banners through the streets of town down to the middle of the paddock area. The town musical band and the warm welcome of people attending the event will accompany this celebration – very engaging and good fun too. Once in the main square, all teams will take the stage for the official presentation and standard pictures. Colours, national pride, culture and fun will mix in a very exciting event that will mark the beginning of the unmissable Bluegrass Trophy of Nations powered by SRAM of Finale Ligure.
