THE ENDURO WORLD SERIES IS BACK TO FINALE LIGURE: THE END-OF-SEASON FESTIVAL OF INTERNATIONAL ENDURO CELEBRATES ITS TENTH EDITION ON LIGURIAN SOIL.

EWS announces the riders of the Trophy of Nations teams while Finale Outdoor Region is getting ready to play host – with the big event village on the seafront and all the Nation Hospitality Houses in town.

Enduro World Series has just made official the names of the athletes qualified for the nations teams that will be on the start line at the Trophy of Nations in Finale Ligure on 1 and 2 October 2022.
The Sugarloaf (US) round at the end of August has been the last chance for riders to earn important points for the EWS Global Rankings and have the opportunity to be among the four successful riders invited to represent their Nations Team.

At present, 27 nations are signed up to compete in Finale Ligure – with no less than 65 teams organized into several categories: WOMEN, WOMEN Under 21, WOMEN Master 35+, MEN, MEN Under 21 and MEN Master 35+.
The selection of team riders is based on a very simple mechanism.
Throughout the season, riders stack points in the EWS Global Ranking by competing in the races on the calendar. The top three riders in each category of the Global Ranking, for each nation, are invited to represent their Nations Team. The 4th ranked rider in each category is designated as the official reserve.
Here are the names of the riders nominated for Italy – and for all of them we expect the most full-on cheering trackside!

In addition to the Nations Teams Championship – that will deliver the UCI rainbow jerseys on 2 October – the Trophy of Nations event includes two more important competitions: Industry Trophy and Rider Trophy – that will take place the day before, on Saturday 1 October.
The industry Trophy is a team competition too, but is reserved to industry professionals. This is why one of the requirements is that team riders must have a current job title within the bike industry.
Does this mean this is a ‘casual’ competition?
Far from it! Amongst the guys who work in these companies there are top-notch riders, often ex pros. And let’s not forget that even the most meek and mild riders, once lined up at the start, they become racing machines.
The other competition is the Rider Trophy, open to all amateur racers: those who want to participate as a team – such as three riding buddies – as well as those who want to race Solo. Registrations are still open for this one race – please check here.
Both Industry Trophy and Rider Trophy will race the same course as the Trophy of Nations – so everyone will be guaranteed a world-class experience and the best riding on the top selection of the most iconic trails in the Finale Outdoor Region, throughout the areas around Finale Ligure, Calice Ligure and Orco Feglino (EWS-E race) and also Rialto, Magliolo and Calizzano (Trophy of Nations).

To amp up the excitement during the week and for extra fun in Finale’s paddocks, there will be a lot going on also amongst teams and companies of e-bikes. Finale Ligure will host the grand finale of EWS-E, the world series dedicated to e-bikes – with official training on Wednesday 28 and races on Thursday 29 September. Registrations for the EWS-E100 and EWS-E50 format are still open here.
All race courses will be announced on Friday 23 September and, starting from Thursday 29 September, the Expo area will open on the seafront. In the meantime, please find the schedule and all info at the TON and EWS-E race sections.
